Quizlet: an interactive vocabulary tool

          According to wikipedia, quizlet is a mobile and web-based study application used by 1-in-2 high school students and 1-in-3 college students in the United States. Quizlet was created by Andrew Sutherland in October 2005 and released to the public in January 2007. This application is very interesting and fun because there are various kinds of games and tests with many topics which we can choose ourselves.
         In class, we were told to make a game using quizlet. At first, it was a bit confusing because I don't really understand what quizlet is for. However, Ms. Priska kindly explained it to me and I started to understand more about it.
          So, for those who want to try using quizlet, here are the steps:
1. First, open your Google Chrome and type www.quizlet.com, or you can just click here.
2. Second, log in to your account, or if you don't have one, you can sign up either with your google account or your facebook account. If you have logged in, the page should be like this.
 

3. Next, click create. It's at the top of the page, next to the search button. After you click it, the page will look like this.
 

4. For the title, you can choose any topics but make sure that the topic is related to the terms and the definitions. You can also add pictures to explain the terms and add cards if you want to give comprehensive explanations.
For example, the title is foodm and the first term is fried chicken. You can choose the definition by clicking the auto-define and there will be some suggestions.
 

5. When you are done, click the create button. It's at the bottom of the page. You don't have to create a class or folder if you don't have one.
 

6. After you have finished creating a study set, you can create a game based on your topic.

7. Last but not least, you can share your quizlet to your friends by embedding your link.

    

    

    Copy the link, and then share it to your friends.
