SAMR is an acronym that stands for Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition. As instructors integrate technology tools into instruction, the model can be used to determine whether the technology application is enhancing or transforming the learning. The model, created by Dr. Ruben Puentedura, has four levels that explain the increasing impact of the integration from subtituting another traditional learning method (such as writing with pen and paper) to creating a completely new learning style (such as students complete and present a team project using global videoconferencing and a virtual classroom). I created my lesson plan according to the format by BBC. I chose the World Book Day and made a few changes in the materials.
My lesson plan is about the World Book Day. The purpose is for the students to practice vocabulary related to books and to practice reading and writing skills. It is for young learners, specifically 1st and 2nd graders of junior high school. The duration according to the lesson plan is 45 minutes (1 meeting) and there are worksheets for the students as well.
Below this is my lesson plan file, please give your feedbacks. Thank you!
